I feel better now reading all the bad reviews Avis has. I rented a car and they charge me for Insurance that I never approved.. the original bill was $291 and I must pay now almost $800!! I called costumer sevices and they cant drop the charges.. be careful with Avis.. I never ever going to rent again with these people..
Rented a car last month via prepay. They rented out all the cars prior to our arrival and then closed the desk earlier than their scheduled hours. They did not wait for our arrival so we were unable to speak to anyone. Didnt have a car - had to spend $120+ in uber fees to get to airbnb and then back to get a car the next day. On top of that they charged me an extra $70 because i didnt get the car the day i was supposed to (their fault). Been given the runaround by avis, no help, no refund, no discount. Booked a large 7 passenger vehicle well in advance, they over sold the larger vehicles. Their solution to the issue was “good luck” they offered zero help to resolve the issue. Horrible customer service
