The Gainesville airport location is the best, always quick, desk is always manned. Usually in and out in 10 minutes. Rent here often.

I recently rented from Avis in Gainesville and had a very poor experience. The car I reserved wasn’t available, and the replacement vehicle was in terrible condition: empty washer fluid, two tires low on air, brakes making a metal-on-metal noise, smelled strongly of smoke, and was given to me with less than half a tank of gas. This was labor day weekend and the agent had told me upon providing the car that it was one of two vehicles that were available.
