We had to come into town for Labor Day weekend for a wedding and we rented from Avis, when we walked up to the car that was supposed to be ours, there was already a person sitting inside. We showed her that this was supposed to be our car. She was friendly and she did get out. Warning do not let them try to scam you out of money. I tried using my debit card and they said I wasn't approved because of they ran a credit report and my bank debit card was still charged for over $400. Im waiting on a refund but the phone number never works. Had to contact corporate.
Arrived for a premium rental at 5 PM, was told there were no premiums available and would be forced to use an intermediate SUV. Not what I wanted but fine. However, there were no SUVs or even cars available for myself or other renters for over an hour past our scheduled rental time. Office staff was very unprofessional and not helpful. Was told our car was in H1 but came out and spot was empty because car was not ready. Avoid this rental place if you value your time and money, as they have no problem wasting both. Do NOT ever leave anything in your vehicle! we returned a car to Arlington Avis the Lovefield Avis picked it up next day. Govt phone left in car between drivers seat and console. It's pinged at Love Field twice... However... And I quote "they DO NOT clean between the seats. This car has been rented twice now. And no one has found her phone! Rediculous procedures of not thoroughly cleaning vehicles. God forbid someone leave something deadly in a vehicle or life threatening because they won't find it before it's rented again!!... read more
I came to rent the car through my corporate account. The lady at the desk asked my corporate id, I gave them. She started matching my DL my corporate id and my face multiple times. She even asked her two colleague to check if it is matching or not. I guess she never saw before how Google corporate accounts and IDs looks like. It seems many avis locations at Dallas and nearby do not how corporate accounts looks like or is it something else?
