My husband went to pick up the rental car (suv) after we already prepaid and the very rude middle aged Indian/southeast asian man was not helpful at all and kept talking over my husband saying there's nothing he can do and to find a different location. Not helpful at all and he acted like he couldn't even call other locations or even look to see if other locations had the suv. Dont come to this location at all!!!! Very rude agents especially to black people!!!!!

1st time in Chicago and staying at a renaissance hotel. To my good fortune there is an Avis at the hotel. I would have been stranded without transportation and now I get to see the sights at an affordable price. Service here is very friendly and accommodating.

We rented a car for about two weeks from Amir at Avis in Northbrook. Have to say that we had a great experience, Amir was so cordial and welcoming. We rented a Rav4 and had no trouble. He gave us wonderful customer service, answered all our questions. We were supposed to rent again after a short trip but in the end had to rent from Avis at O'hare. Had trouble with the car from O'hare and did not receive the customer service from them that we expected. Got to Amir to switch cars as that is included in the service. The shop wa... read more

Arrived on time for my reservation, only to be told they wouldn't have any cars available for 2 and a half hours after the stated time. The man I spoke to (South Asian, middle aged. Didn't get his name) was very unhelpful, and said I should just go somewhere else to pick up the reservation. Do not book a car from here.
