I have yet to have issues with this Avis location after 4 rentals in the past year. They stay late a reasonable amount of time after official closing to hand out cars to consistently late airline customers. Special thanks to John? who helped me with my last one. Perfect car each time, easy in and out.
If you actually want to pick up a car this is not the place to go. Overbooks vehicles and will cancel reservations.

No wiper fluid or scraper in the car in NW Michigan January. The entire staff of 3 blamed me for not checking before I left the airport.
I can’t say enough good things about Matt from the Avis/Budget car rental at Traverse City Airport. At around 1:00 AM, he truly went above and beyond by personally giving me a ride so I could get my car back home. This was well outside what anyone would normally expect, and it made a stressful late-night situation so much easier and safer. Matt was kind, professional, and genuinely cared about helping a customer. This level of service is rare, and it left a lasting impression. Thank you for going the extra mile—literally!
