The only reason I utilized this company / location is because my company arranged for it. I picked up my rental car yesterday and have already asked to return it to a different location so I don’t have to go back to this one: 1.) The absolute ball of sunshine at the counter (sarcasm) was one of the rudest people I’ve ever dealt with. She has no business being in an occupation dealing with customers. Terrible. Not enough staff, no cars. Waited 20 minutes while no staff in the store. Finally someone came in and helped the two parties in front of me - both left without cars due to issues not related to Avis. It was finally my turn and the agent pulled up my reservation and said they didn’t have any cars. I said I’d take a car in a different category - I had been dropped off by Uber and didn’t want to spend another $20 to get me back without wheels- but they said they didn’t have any cars at all. The office smelled like weed. I booked the car the night before for pickup at noon. I called two times in the morning to check if there is any availability. Both went to the common customer service line and they said car is available. I went there to pickup and there was no car available.

When I come to renting a vehicle from this Avis/budget, they are the best experience I,ve had hands down. They were polite and informative when assisting me with my rental. I have now made the only place I’ll rent a car in the Hampton area.
