Our generous son loves to take his Dad and Mom on vacations with him. In August, he took his Mom(me) on a beautiful trip to Jackson Hole, WY to explore the Tetons and Yellowstone. He’s been an Avis rental car customer many times for many years. The trip was fabulous! Unfortunately, Avis ended our memories with a huge sour note! Terrible service. I reserved a pickup on their website. But when I arrived, the counter had no pickups. They switched my reserved pickup for an Expedition without notifying me that my reserved vehicle wasn't available. Had to have a pickup. Avis failed.
This was initially going to start off as a negative review but thankfully Nataliia helped save the day, and I really appreciate the help she provided. I accidentally left an expensive camera in my rental car. I struggled finding out how to open a case, and that's unfortunately due to the way Avis corporate handles lost and found in combination with their obfuscating corporate call center. I wish I could give this location 0 stars. I rented a car on August 6, 2025, and returned it on August 8 at 5:30 AM. As instructed by the representative, Alexandra, I dropped the keys in the counter box with all the details. She assured me the agreement would be closed properly once they retrieved the keys in the morning. However, after returning home, I was shocked to find that Avis charged me $1,670 instead of the original agreed amount of $326.08. The car is damaged even before I entered and there is food stains inside the car. Other than that everything is pretty good.
