Terrible experience. Booked a full sized car and called Avis to ensure it's a gas car - which they annotated. On the day of the pick up, the white guy behind the counter couldn't be bothered about what I had paid and asked for. He told me there weren't any gas cars available in and around the Bay Area Avis locations and almost gaslit me into renting a Tesla. There were several gas cars parked in the lot right in front of my eyes. He just would not give them to me. He was lying to my face saying they were all already checked ... read more

Made a prior booking (1 week back) came all the way by wasting money on cabs. They tell me they don't have a car for me without any communication. I got no comms. This is the worst and most unprofessional behavior.

I have been coming here for years now and my experience has generally been always great. Pickups are fast so are the drop-offs and cars are generally available, iff you were able to make a reservation online. Cars are kept clean though on occasions you could tell someone smoked in it some point - so the smell lingered. But it was cleaned otherwise.
