I had the WORST experience of my life with Avis Car Rental. The African American lady working at 8:00 a.m. on February 1st, 2026, had the most disgusting and rude attitude I have ever seen on a human being. This was my first time ever dealing with Avis—or a car rental service in general—and the experience was absolutely disgusting, with vulgar service and zero professionalism. Make sure you get all of your belongings out of the vehicle at the Gulfport, MS location! I dropped the car off Friday evening, got home and remembered I left my Birkenstocks in the driver side, went the next morning and couldn’t get them back. I understand it’s my responsibility to get all of my belongings out of the vehicle, but you would think renting with a trustworthy company, that if you accidentally leave something they have enough decency to at least give you a day to get your things.
