I booked my rental 2 months in advance, paid for it, got the reservation confirmation as well as the receipt, and when I came in to pick up the car after flying all day the lady at the counter told me I couldn’t use the same card I paid for the car with to pay the deposit. LITERALLY THE EXACT SAME CARD AND NUMBERS THAT WERE ON THE CARD I USED TO PAY FOR IT. Exceptional experience at the Duluth International Airport Avis. I had to extend my rental by a couple of days, and the manager handled the adjustment manually to ensure I stayed at a fair, consistent rate rather than getting hit by automated system penalties. It’s rare to find a desk where the staff uses their experience to actually help the customer. The car (2025 CX-5) was a dream—great on gas and very comfortable for long hauls. I’ve rented from this location several times and always from an older gentleman or younger guy with brown hair. Today is was a pasty face lady with a horrible attitude and wouldn’t even make proper eye contact . She couldn’t even give me a real reason and why today my card wouldn’t work that I’ve always used but today it won’t go through all of a sudden. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! Or if they're the only choice be sure to take clear photos of your rental at pick up & drop off. Usually I go with Enterprise and never had a single issue with them, but they didn't have any cars available. Needed a rental for one night to get to work the next day after my car broke down. Skipped taking pictures because I was going to have the car for less than 24 hours and it was so dang cold. BIG MISTAKE! Received a damage claim from this location about 5 hours after I returned it.
