I booked my rental 2 months in advance, paid for it, got the reservation confirmation as well as the receipt, and when I came in to pick up the car after flying all day the lady at the counter told me I couldn’t use the same card I paid for the car with to pay the deposit. LITERALLY THE EXACT SAME CARD AND NUMBERS THAT WERE ON THE CARD I USED TO PAY FOR IT. Exceptional experience at the Duluth International Airport Avis. I had to extend my rental by a couple of days, and the manager handled the adjustment manually to ensure I stayed at a fair, consistent rate rather than getting hit by automated system penalties. It’s rare to find a desk where the staff uses their experience to actually help the customer. The car (2025 CX-5) was a dream—great on gas and very comfortable for long hauls.
