No car available for reservation made 3 months ago!! Completely ruined my plans for skagway! Wake up avis - whats the point of reservation

Lived in Anchorage for 4 years, came back to visit. Rented a car from Avis, from the jump the lady had an attitude. 7 months later while deployed my wife gets a $1800 bill from them. They made her cry. I hope they get Investigated by the state for fraud and get shut down. Scam artists with the ability to affect your credit.

SAME ISSUE WITH OTHER RENTERS. Upon returning the vehicle to Anchorage Avis, no damage was brought to our attention by the attendant. However, 3 months later Avis sent me a demand letter for $800 worth of damage of "a small dent and paint chip on the hood of the car". After a few email correspondence, Avis Alaska insisted that the dents were made during the rental period. I requested for a damage estimate. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS AGENCY They file a claim after you leave and think everything is good. Bogus claim scam! Horrible service to try and reconcile. Long time Avis customer is now a no longer Avis customer.
