I asked my husband to find a retreat center where we could spend a few days quietly digesting the conference we attended at Duke. Good job, Tom. Avila Retreat Center is just what I needed. Quiet, contemplative, comfortable. We had access to our room, a conference room and the beautiful grounds. Great place for a spiritual audit.

Our church's deacons and ministers enjoyed spending last weekend at Avila. The lodging was very comfortable and clean, the food was delicious, and the conference space worked very well for our smallish group. Having a small kitchen in our meeting room was super convenient, and the surroundings were really nice. Wish it had been warmer so we could have taken advantage of the outdoors a little more, but overall a great stay. Thanks!
When I say and awesome place, quiet, quaint and friendly. The staff is awesome, the rooms are comfortable and inviting and I dare not forget how they fed us! Thanks to Ms. Janet, Ms. Katie and Mr. Chris for their attention to our every detail. This will be a place to consider for our next retreat! Everything we needed we had!

Beautiful place to relax, unwind, and learn. Spent an afternoon, evening, and morning there. Food was very well done as well.
Beautiful place for prayer and contemplation. Nice rooms, and plenty of quiet.
