This hotel is geared towards people who don't need/want a lot. The rooms are small but adequate for a few nights stay. I loved that there is no carpet in the rooms, feels cleaner & reduces any possible odors from previous people. Breakfast was simple, scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, as well as bread, bagels, muffins, cereal, and fresh fruit. Staff was friendly. Location is great. Simple, modern and clean hotel -- granted no frills. The room was clean and simple allbeit small. Hotel seemed brand new when we stayed in Summer 2024. There is no pool, but is walking distance to Kalahari. We walked to Great Wolf Lodge, but that is a further walk that most would not do. The complimentary breakfast is more basic than you'll see at a Holiday Inn Express, but that's normal for this Avid line of hotels and I think they make this clear as you book. Great location! Rooms are small but very clean and up to date. Breakfast was OK. Staff did keep it stocked and clean. Front desk staff not the friendliest. Wouldn't even look up and acknowledge me when I would go to the front desk.
