I had to transfer to another avenue living property due to many issues at the last building and I was told the unit was in good shape and I was approved to transfer. 3 weeks later I’m now being told there’s about $550 worth of repairs for my last rental. This does NOT follow RTDRS. They have 7 days after move out to provide receipts/quotes with proof and obviously never received anything. Already considering breaking my new lease after 3 weeks…. So disappointed
All bad, I broke my lease of 12months after only 2months living at hudson court. Due to cockroach infestation. Funny once I broke the lease still trying to deny that there was no infestation at all while I was living there or before. First few days living there once I moved in I spotted a cockroach in the close at first I aint know what it was till I start seeing more. I am a tenant at avenue living and my girlfriend and i got back to our apartment and had to help a old man, im assuming late 70's early 80's who had recently fallen AND SAT there for almost 30 mins due to the absolute lack of road maintenance (ice melt, snow removal) Multiple times many people have slipped and there has been ZERO effort to clear parking lots, alleyways or even basic sidewalks.
do not recommend renting with Avenue Living. Currently, I am paying 1840 for a 2 bedroom unit, while my neighbors next door are paying 1700 and change for a 3 bedroom unit. Personally, I perceive this as an unfair situation. The justifications they offered were that I have an upgraded unit. The only upgrade they emphasized was the presence of hardwood floors instead of carpets. I am interested to know if you all concur, but I believe hardwood floors are more straightforward to maintain than carpets when the tenant vacates.
