Dr. Hayat is a good listener, a compassionate M.D. and just a kind person. Most of the staff is very good or excellent (though they are understaffed these days and somewhat restricted by the St. Agnes administrators directives (and those rule makers hide from the patients, so lately office communications have had some difficulties and resulting confusion.)
As you walk in you can sense the essence of this practice. The office takes a holistic approach to medicine. Hector Ramos is a primary care physician who, in an age of quick turn-around medicine, driven by cost reduction and electronic medical records, takes time with each patient. When I'm in the room with him I truly feel like he's there with me. He listens. He provides advice, guidance, and health solutions. He treats me, not my single symptom. - Highly Recommend.
Dr Sumera Hayat is very thorough, caring, considerate and professional. She listens! Dr Hayat is the best doctor I have ever seen.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Avecinia Welness Center. The atmosphere is unlike any other doctors office I've ever been to. It's so relaxing and beautiful. The whole staff is caring, friendly and efficient. The best part though is the doctors. I've seen both Dr. Hayat and Dr. Shook. They both take the time to really listen to your medical condition and follow through. I would highly recommend this doctors office to anyone!
