Mediterranean gem Avec is a trendy tiny restaurant with a tiny menu, but it offers quality atmosphere, food, and service. The theme rustic and communal, and the food is largely small plates and Mediterranean. Going to Avec is a very unique experience, but it is not for those who need a lot of personal space or wide selection. It is, however, for the adventerous spirits out there who appreciate interesting food.

stylish I would highly recommend for a night out with friends or with an adventurous date. The selection of wines are pair with the meals. Expect to spend about $50/per person.
Love it! I did a fair amount of online research prior to our visit to Chicago and was so happy I decided to give Avec a try. I wanted to eat somewhere hip, but not over the top serious with the food (I'm not into foams and gelees). I also wanted somewhere that offered small plates so my husband and I could share a few. The food was really nice...especially the cheese our server selected to pair with our wine. RecommendedWe just had the most AMAZING takeouts everything was delicious. As good as in the restaurant. It was the best fine dining takeout we have had so far.
This place is great friendly atmosphere the owner is amazing I love this place I will always come back when I’m in the Chicago area . And the carrot cake is enough for one slice is enough for four people delicious
Stopped at Avec to get an order of their Chorizo stuffed Medjool Dates wrapped in Bacon and smothered with a Piquillo Pepper-Tomato Sauce. Shoulda gotten two orders!!
Just picked up an order tonight. My most favorite eatery in Chicago.
