My experience with Avatar was extremely disappointing and left me feeling unsupported and mistreated. I encountered serious concerns not only at their New Jersey location but also at their Massachusetts facility. Shortly after being asked to sign a behavioral contract, a room search was conducted, and events that followed led to my discharge far from home and separation from my support system, including my boyfriend.
