Honestly was there in 2015 early 2016 stayed for 9 and 1/2 months still have nightmares about this place! Honestly can't believe it's still open.

Avanti staff competence is questionable. They do not communicate reliably with parents. This is not a place for younger teens as there are scary situations that occur with residents at times including violence, threatening language, and they sometimes are forced to have a roommate they may be uncomfortable with. Mistakes were made on our treatment plan. My daughter was listed as having “suicidal ideation” when that was not the case. Essentially everything is what you make it! But I had a indifferent experience! There definitely could have been improvements on lgbtq resources. But I was a resident back in 2015-16 they had amazing staff and staff that were not so great at all! But there missions and plans they taught me I still use in life now! If I could give this review zero stars, I would. My stay at Avanti was only two months due to my parents making the decision to pull me from the program. ( I think the typical stay is 5-9 months) They had given another girl my medication and then didn’t give me any, and they would not send the right medications with me during passes. Not only did they mess up my medications, but they did not listen to anything I had to say. One girl that was there would call me names and yell cuss words at me. If I could leave zero stars I would. I was SA'd by another girl there & when I told them they let her continually escape to get to me and eventually let her escape the facility. Another girl managed to jump out a window that was unlocked & got seriously hurt. A girl was left alone in the showers and managed to break the tile and harm herself with the lack of supervision.
