I went to Avani Spa for my 30th birthday, and while the staff was very nice and welcoming, the experience overall was disappointing. I paid for the Deep Tissue Massage, but it was not deep tissue at all — the therapist was kind, but it felt more like a light skin rub than an actual massage. I stayed at the Abbey for a wedding, and decided to take advantage of the spa during my stay. I had a great tranquility massage by Kim. It was not a deep tissue massage, and I feel the pressure was perfect for a relaxing experience. I wasn’t planning on taking advantage of the other amenities but decided to after Kim suggested I check them out. The spa was horrendous please do not go there. My manicure paint for my nails fell off in 2 days. Also on the men's side the steam room didn't work as well as the sauna and all they could say was we're are getting a part. The pool was outdated and my husband's massage was partial instead of full body. For the amount of money we spent this was very sad that the service did not match!!
Avani spa does not answer their phones. I called twice to book a couples massage and left voicemails. The second time I called and left a voicemail, I emphasized that it was my SECOND time calling and I finally got a call back the next day. It basically took me a whole week just to book a couple's massage
It clearly states on line, that you can book any service and use the spa, but after my service,they said it had to be over $100 and they would not let me use the spa-needless to say, I was VERY upset, and therefore will NEVER use this spa again!!
