Came in with my husband and friend for massages and to use the amenities for the day while staying at the hotel. I am 37 weeks pregnant and TIRED. I had two maternity massages in my second trimester and was very much looking forward to another, especially with the increased hip and back pain. My massage was absolutely not worth the almost $200 dollar price point. The Avani Spa at The Abbey Resort was a mixed experience for us. The highlight, hands down, was the facial treatment. It was amazing for both of us and felt genuinely relaxing and high-quality. Michelle and Sandy were excellent and I have never had such an incredibly relaxing and comfortable experience. The staff and the treatment itself made us feel taken care of. I paid extra for a quiet pool experience and people are loud and cackling. Had I wanted this loud experience, I would’ve saved myself the extra $50 to be in the resort pool.
Couples Swedish massage was AMAZING. Locker room wasn’t great. Didn’t get to use any of the other amenities because we wanted to go get our swim suits but were told we couldn’t leave and come back. Only the locker rooms should be separated - it’s unclear on if the salt room or saunas were mixed or not. We only got a very short tour.
Avani was a disappointment , I dont normally leave this long of a review but for the amount of money we paid we hope this helps others... The spa being in a more upscale hotel i thought would hold up to the price and the higher end of it all but it did not.
