I would avoid Avance Care if possible. Felt like I got scammed. This clinic really put me in a bad spot. I have asthma and need daily medication, but this clinic refused to pick up my calls when there was issues with my the medication. I have never had this problem with any other doctor before. This is medicine I need daily and the medical team refused to pick up my calls for weeks, promising to resolve the issue but never actually helping me. UPDATED Review 16 July 2024 Sadly, this branch of Avance is closing down, though Avance has other clinics in Durham. However, my GP, Dr. Fields, is leaving for greener pastures so I need to find a new doctor. :-( I had my annual physical today and it went great. I do not know the name of the phlebotomist, but that was the best blood draw I have ever had--completely painless, I did not feel anything at all from that needle. Not only was it smooth as butter but there was no bleeding afterwards, not one drop, So I will miss thi... read more

Yesterday was my first experience at an advance care and I can honestly say my entire family will be transferring care to that office. From the front desk being so sweet and helpful, to the nurse Michael being so caring and cracking jokes with my daughter while she was getting her vaccines, to Dr Fields being so kind throughout the exam. We will be back!
