I was put here when I was 16 and was kept there for almost a year. They mentally scarred me for life because of the way they treated me. The girls kept antagonizing me, they called me a crybaby even though I had emotional issues, and these people mocked me just like when I was in elementary and middle school. But I'm an adult now so now I'm been having creepy and disturbing nightmares about this place. I was locked up here for awhile in my teens. It isn't a treatment facility. They mentally torture you. They deprive you of any humanity. They only gave kids 5 squares of toilet paper when they needed the bathroom. There were many good people that worked there, that treated us like people, but the system ensured that the kids were miserable. The food was awful, some meals were only white rice. We had pizza on Saturday nights, and a warm breakfast of eggs, biscuits, and grits on Sunday mornings. I read books, played cards, and... read more
