Amazing staff, food and tea!! Highly recommend!!!
This is the best Tea Room in Minnesota! I have had the pleasure of having a shower and many teas at Avalon. It is so fun seeing the little children having teas! This Tearoom has been so kind to all of us people from different backgrounds! If feel so welcome when I visit the Tearoom. We have so much fun and everyone loves it when we meet at the Avalon Tea Room. Please give them a try!!!

I've been a customer at Avalon Tea Room for over ten years. I used to go there about once a week for several years and now I continue to go there a little less--maybe once a month for a special day out. On various occasions, I've seen people of color and from different backgrounds served at the tea room with no problem. The times when customers are given unfriendly looks are when their kids are running around, breaking things and bothering people. My favorite tea room!! – I have been to pretty much every place in Minnesota that serves tea and I love the Avalon tea room in White Bear Lake! If you are looking for a classic tea with cucumber sandwiches, scones and petite desserts served on a 3 tiered serving tray--Avalon has that! There tea selection is awesome! bad experience – sorry to say we had a very unfriendly experience .probably they are not open to people from different backgrounds. the moment we stepped in a few customers already there were not happy to see us, u could tell from the looks we got. but we thought the owners would be nice , but regret to say they were also not friendly either. their website claims to be a kid frienly place but it was the opposite. i was planning to bring my girls for a tea party there but will never go back and will never recommend it to anyo... read more
Steeped then Sipped Please be mother and pour the tea. Civilized tea room and pastry shop. Finger sandwiches, salads, lunch specials and simply delicious pastries and delightful scones. Afternoon tea at small tables served in vintage miss-matched dainty china cups and tea pots with kozy. Ladies' lunches, formal teas, children's tea parties and classes. White gloves or pinkies up not required. Gift shoppe too.
