Oh Avalon, you used to be so accomodating. What has happened? Do you have a new chef who is so haughty that he is unwilling to make a simple adjustment to a menu item for someone on a very strict diet. It was only substituting the root vegetables which were available as an appetizer and on another dish for the eggplant caponata with the salmon. We were a party of 5 on Sunday 2/20/11. The food was over priced and tasted awful. One of the dishes was rancid. It tasted awful and smelled poorly. When we complained to the owner he explained that is how filet tastes when it is cooked well done. Since we did not order our filet well done nor have I heard of or tasted well done filet smelling like fish, and tasting putrid we attempted to object to his statement.
