I drove a big bow rider for years and thought pontoon boats were a bit of a joke. Wrong. For cruising around a big lake with a number of people on board they are the cat’s meow. Astoundingly better visibility and comfort for everyone on board. And this tri-pontoon from Avalon is a honey.
Partnered with poorly vetted dealerships. Not very accommodating on a warranty issue caused by the dealership that sold the boat.
These boats are trash. I have a 2024 pontoon that I bought brand new in 2023. This thing has been nothing but problems. It’s on a remote lake over 3 hours away from a dealer so it’s not even worth it to tow to a dealer for warranty work. It’s been in the shop 4 times and I currently had a check engine and oil pressure light on. It reads 91 hours but it’s actually more like 50 hours as the meter is wildly incorrect. Shop a different brand!
