Avalon Memory Care home was a godsend in the worst time of our lives. They cared for my father like he was their own for the last year of his life. They were very communicative and available to us for questions and support. Highly recommend Avalon if you find yourself in the position to need dementia care services.
Michelle wasn’t lying when she told us that Avalon is the place for mom and dad! The ladies and gentlemen here are SUPER!! Their approach to each resident is always caring, sensible and heartfelt! It was my privilege to have my sweet wife JoAnn Griffin under your care from June 21 - July 12, 2024. While it certainly was not in our plans for this to happen, Avalon came to us through what I am convinced was divine intervention. She certainly preferred to be at home, but hospice care through Allstar was required, and the constant attention and compassion she received while she was there was beyond reproach. Fourteen months ago it became apparent, after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and having had a hip replacement, that we would need to find a care facility for our dad. After visiting several places, we chose Avalon. That was the best decision we ever made! Though dad was often very difficult, the caregivers (JJ, Misty, Mama, Kim and more) continued to love him as their own father/grandfather.
