This place is well staffed. And they are all friendly with patients and their families. We are very pleased with how they took care of my dad. The management knows and cares about well being of the residents as well. Overall, I would highly recommend this place!
My father spent about two years in care at Avalon as he progressed through the final stages of dementia. The staff there provided the utmost care, helped keep him as comfortable as he could be given what he was going through and also kept us informed of any needs or new developments. He recently passed and I have been blown away by the outreach and attention that they have given even after he is no longer there. My mother has been at this location of Avalon for several years. Some of the individual who take care of my mother actually care and comfort her. However, this facility has a rampant theft problem. My mother's clothes disappear at an alarming rate. This company's response is that they can't be held responsible for theft by other residents. BUT.. that's not where the theft is occurring. My mom has been at Avalon since July 2025. We picked Avalon due to the more home-like feel and comfort. The first thing I noticed was how happy and relaxed everyone was. The caretakers genuinely care and have taken excellent care of my mother. Some of the memory care facilities I toured were nice, but also felt overwhelming and too large.
