My Mom recently passed away. She had dementia for 4+ years. She was at a skilled nursing facility and got basically no care at all. We moved her to Avalon Memory Care 2 years ago. She had a beautiful room and great care. The staff is very loving, treating the patients as if they were family. Everyone is patient and kind. The staff works as a team to care for each resident. My mother has had dementia for at least four years, maybe more. When we first brought her to Avalon three years ago she had already been to another local memory care facility for a few months and it was a total nightmare. However, as soon as we pulled up to the Avalon facility, several attendants and the manager came outside to welcome my mother, brought her inside; it was the first time I'd felt a sense of relief in quite some time dealing with my mother's living situation. Avalon memory care has the most caring staff. They treated my father and me as family. They were able to handle his most complex issues with his dementia which allowed us to have a peace of mind. I would highly recommend Avalon.
My dad was there in 2020 and we had a horrible experience! I do not recommend!
