My mother in law was a kind, caring and compassionate person, always willing to give and help others. With her health declining rapidly, she decided to have hospice come in . So she chose your agency because she knew people there. We thought hospice was about compassion and caring for the patient at the end of life. We found that not to be true with your agency. Their website says “our place is by your side”. That is false! My mother needed hospice and wanted to use Gentiva (formerly Avalon Hospice) because she knew several of the employees. At the beginning things seemed to be going well and we were pleased. However when her condition changed and it was apparent the time of her death was drawing near my family had many questions.
