Maintenance crew came by and was amazing!
My aunt was forced off the property with zero warning and told to leave within minutes. The property manager gave her dirty looks because she wears a hijab, and staff were literally laughing outside while they were being removed. The police showed up and ordered them off the property immediately. After the eviction, over $4,500 in cash and multiple personal items (jewelry, perfume, skincare, etc.) were missing. If there were zero stars to give to a business, this would be Avalon Amityville Apartments at 366 Broadway, Amityville, NY 11701. A barely one-bedroom apartments cost almost $5000.00 per month. This complex has a pretty façade, but it is full of flaws: badly insulated walls, you can hear what your neighbors are doing, get harassed by the neighbor next door if you make any noise. I’ve lived here for 1.5 years and setting aside the cost of everything, I’ve really loved my apartment and time here. Billy is great, and the maintenance team answers everything really promptly. I do have to say the change in the parking recently really soured my opinion and I will likely not lease again. When I first moved in the lot across louden wasn’t guest, and the guest parking was a big problem. Overall nice place to live. All the workers here are very friendly… however Avalon just got rid of the huge lot across the street for guest and resident parking, so now there are only 9 guest spots for the huge complex with over 300 units. There is no street parking in the surrounding area. Residents who were parking in that lot only had to pay $40 per month and now have to pay $75 per month to park in the garage since the $50 grounds parking is full.
