It troubles me to leave this review, but I’m hoping it helps those thinking of moving to this apartment complex. I’ve lived at autumn woods apartments for 10 years now. In that time it has declined. The property used to look like a golf course, now the grounds are barely picked up after. The employee turnover rate is horrible. Based on our experience so far, my roommates and I moved into our apartment on June 30, 2026, and the condition of the apartment on move-in day was extremely disappointing. From the moment we moved in, we encountered multiple issues that should have been addressed before the apartment was given to new residents. The toilet had visible fecal stains, the balcony door and several windows did not close completely, the shower head bar, vent, and drain were heavily eroded, and several doors were missing doorknobs. The snake population out here is crazy, these copperheads live in the foundation of the sidewalk/building in front of my building. Upon contacting the leasing office, I was frustrated to find out their pest control company doesn’t offer this kind of service and the leasing office is not taking necessary precautions to address this issue. I now feel unsafe to take my dog outside, as the grass is always tall and the snakes are very difficult to see. We see copperhead snakes weekly outside of unit F. We have taken pictures and sent them to the front office and they say there is absolutely nothing that can be done since they are living outside. They have made a home underneath the walkway to our building and stay in the bushes right where we take our dogs. We have had to kill two ourselves because apparently the pest control that we pay for won’t cover the roaches inside or the snakes that have made a home inside of the foundation.
I stayed with my brother for a week here and what I witnessed is not only unacceptable, but a complete HEALTH HAZARD! The roach infestation was so severe, I literally had to take apart my Xbox to clean the roaches out of it before bringing it back home! What makes it so even worse is that management is apparently trying to blame my brother for the problem, which is OUTRAGEOUS!
