Although dad’s time at Autumn Leaves was short, we believe that it was a good place for him. It was close enough to our homes, so that someone from our family could visit him every day. With his memory declining and being physically weakened after a recent hospitalization, dad could not take care of himself. And as much as we wanted to, we couldn’t adequately care for him at home. I had a tour with Bernee who was extremely helpful, compassionate, and knowledgeable. I especially like the design of the building and how residents can walk in a complete circle end to end and not get lost in long hallways. I will definitely consider this community for my mom when the time comes.

My wife has been to several facilities for rehab reasons, and Autumn Leaves is by far the best facility she has been to, especially for her memory care. The staff understands what it takes to deal with the ups and downs of dementia care, which can be challenging at times. Having been a full time caregiver the past couple of years, I understand this all too well. The management is very approachable, and they don’t mind when a resident wonders into their office to chat.
