Very disappointed with Sheena, the director. She is unprofessional, rude, and passive-aggressive when you call and ask to speak with her. In a nursing home setting, where families are already dealing with sensitive situations involving their loved ones, empathy and professionalism should be a priority. The majority of the staff have been pleasant, but unfortunately, her behavior as the director reflects poorly on the facility.
Do not send your loved one here! My grandma got admitted her over a month ago and since then everything went downhill. I want to start off by addressing a staff member named “Felicia” I was trying to take my grandma out for an outing and she was very unprofessional, rude and dismissive! I get that staff have to follow specific protocol but they way she handled the situation left me with a bad taste in my mouth. While we are fairly new to the Heritage at Eldridge, I am beyond impressed with everything and everyone. Staff is very skilled and very friendly and always available to answer my many questions. They seem to have a good staff:resident ratio. They are fantastic with the residents, including my person (who can be pretty temperamental at times).
