Very disappointed with this experience. AutoTrader provided an estimated value of $500–$5,000 based on the vehicle information, condition, and mileage I submitted. I booked an appointment with a Toyota dealership based on this estimate, only to arrive and be told they would not accept my vehicle because it had “no resale value.” This was a complete waste of my time. Have a iPhone 17 max brand new and autotrader Is always ridiculously slow on my phone… also deleted my ad for my car after 22hrs. Bs outdated app. No one buys cars on trader anymore! Wake up! Scam.
Private Seller Beware. I listed my SUV for sale on 4 June 2026 and paid $ 127.69 for a premium listing. I received a message that my ad was inactive and I must contact Autotrader. I immediately sent them an email and 4 days later I have not had any response from them. I called them the next day and was put on hold for 16 minutes and I finally hung up as there was no response. Extremely Poor Experience It has now been 12 days since I paid for my AutoTrader ad, and the service I paid for has not been properly delivered. My ad appears to be “up,” but it is not searchable, which means potential buyers cannot find it. After 12 days, I have received 0 leads. Autotrader APP is terrible. Post an ad. Sell the truck thru Facebook Marketplace. I log into my account to delete the ad from autotrader. It deletes. Every day after I check my account and my ad is back again. I have deleted the ad no less than 10 times. I call auto trader. They tell me the phone number is only for dealers.
