Purchased a vehicle. ** in finance lied directly to my face, told me the only way to get my loan was to purchase the extra warranty and added $4000 to my cost. The next when I answered the survey, the manager reached out and told me that was false and I did not have to buy it. (I had told her I did NOT want it). We purchase a ***** Pilot 2016 on Saturday, I requested they retain my trade in for the 5 days in case I had to return the car if my mechanic found anything wrong with the car. Stay away from this unethical dealership, I drove 3 hours to this dealership with a guaranteed offer. When I arrived to start paperwork they gave me an invoice 2k higher than what they were advertising, second they tried to charge me tax on my equity check and 3rd when we were doing the paperwork on the deal, they had another customer test driving the car, I then walked away from the deal and this dealership as fast as I could. I purchased a 2019 ****** Rogue in Aug 2023. I paid cash but purchased the extended warranty. I have sold this car in beginning of May 2024. Which I have reached out through phone and email (6 times) with reassurance that my warranty is being cancelled. October 2021, I bought my 91-year-old father a vehicle from AutoNation in CC. 2011 ******* $15k! 4K down and making payments. Vehicle had 98K miles on it .. had it for 18 months, driven only 4k miles and the transmission went completely out. I did not buy the warranty. Figured it was a reputable dealership. WRONG! Makes me sick to my stomach every time I think about it. Yes, partly my fault for not buying the warranty. But I trusted AutoNation, never again! hoping this doesn't happen to anyone else.
