History Established in 1996. AutoNation's roots trace back to 1996, when current Chairman H. Wayne Huizenga invested in an Atlanta-based waste management company that later became Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Republic Industries, Inc. Republic Industries would go on to acquire most of the more than 321 new vehicle franchises the Company operates today, as well as several waste management and vehicle rental companies, before changing its name on April 6, 1999 to AutoNation, Inc.

I had an appointment with Mike Gonzales to drop off my 2015 Mercedes E350 for bodywork. When I came, no one greeted me, receptionist was busy so I waited in the lobby. Then I found Gonzales' number from his email, and called the guy. It was picked by someone else who gave my Gonzales' real number (why did he had someone else number in his email signature???) Terrible workmanship! I got side swiped on driver side on Dec 10 and took it in to this collision center referenced by my insurance company. First attempt pick up vehicle I had scratch marks where they took off plastic trim and a dent on my tailgate. Second time I tried to pick it up I noticed chipped paint and opposite side tail light lens cracked. Third time I tried to pick up my bottom plastic bumper all scratch up and one tire completely bald after they did an alignment job. Finally three months later I find more damages... read more
