I went to this mechanic for an oil change. They pushed an air filter replacement, which I declined in favor of a genuine Lexus part. Shortly after, I noticed a sharp increase in fuel consumption—which shouldn’t happen. Suspecting a vacuum leak, I called Mohammad about a smoke test and was quoted $350—more than triple the standard rate.
