Just had my E350CDI gearbox serviced by Auto Trans, dropped car in the evening before, and got a call mid morning the next day to say done. Gear changes are noticeably smoother and the slight pulsing feel I had on occasion at partial throttle is now a thing of the past. Reccomended by my local garage and glad they did, as a good and effeicient process with a reasonable bill.
I have now used this company on a number of occasions and have come to value their honest advise and guidance. The step by step process of fault diagnosis, in the long term has helped to remain within my budget constraints. Would happily recommend this company when in need.
We have had a terrible recent experience with AutoTrans and so will not be using them again, nor recommending them on any basis. AutoTrans confidently made a mis-diagnosis, leading to a costly consequent repair, which did not fix the fault. We gave AutoTrans the opportunity to provide a low value refund, which wad declined with no alternative resolution offered - No recognition of or apology for their mis-diagnosis. If I could leave 0 stars I would. We spent money towing our car to Auto Trans and then they completely botched a gearbox replacement that we then had to raise a dispute for the repairs to be carried out by another garage. Auto Trans solution was for us to pay to have our car towed to them again even though they hadn't done the job properly in the first place.
