Plenty of room to work. Closed for now.
Auto Skills shop was a great resource to take care of basic automotive issues. Used lift to perform an oil change ($5 per hour) around July / August of 2021. Facility closed around September or October. MWR sign says, "The Auto Hobby Shop is Closed Until Further Notice".
They were closed to anybody
The auto shop on base is working with what they got, which is to say not much. Single sailors that have been displaced from there home and given minimum pay should have more time at their disposal. Most of the time none of the lifts work and the guy at the desk is a volunteer that doesn't know when they'll get fixed. Thanks to the volunteers that do work at the shop as it would not be opened if it weren't for them. If you want to, "support your soldiers" this is one place that is in need.
