I wanted to share the horrible claim experience I have had with Auto Owners and specifically the incompetence of one of their adjusters that was assigned to my claim, Tammy Trueblood. I spend $3700/month on a commercial auto insurance plan for 8 vehicles which auto owners does't take into account or value my business at all because when I have a claim my emails and calls asking for updates get ignored. I would find another company that actually cares about, and that knows how to communicate with their customers. We have been working on a claim for a year and a half now and I have 4 estimates WAY higher, and they are throwing up road blocks to not pay any more. Example, they are not able to articulate how to read an estimate unless it is only in the format Auto-Owners Insurance uses. We had such a great experience with Auto-Owners Insurance. Following a hail storm in July, I contacted Auto-Owners. Within a very short period, our claims adjuster, Micheal Noah, came to our property and thoroughly inspected our house and outbuildings. He recommended a local company that could repair the damage from the storm. The whole process was seamless and stress-free. Very satisfied.

I pay for a service and got the run around, and denied on my claim. They acknowledge that a storm that produced hail was present in my area on the day I claimed. They acknowledge that I have extensive hail damage. But they think it's old damage from over a year ago and denied my claim. After talking to my attorney he said I can play thier game again on appealing thier decision or I can go directly to the iowa insurance commissioner.
