I bought a '82 Mercedes 300 Turbo on Ebay for 11k.The car was described to be perfect but is wasn't (by all standards).Fresh tires turned out to be non-road worthy sprayed over with tire gloss.Mileage had been tampered with (clock showed lower mileage than service booklet of past owner and that was years ago!).Rust holes, faded inner trim, cruise not working, AC not working. Worst: Broken (!) wheel linkage (!).
Bill Pahl sold me a car that, as turned out later, has seen tamering with the mileage. Car was sold on ebay as perfect. Wheel linkage was broken, Cruise and climate control not working. The "Fresh tires" turned out to be worn out pieces sprayed over with tire gloss. This is a NOGO. Will never buy again from Europe Auto Naples /Bill Pahl
