I called up Auto Doctors looking for a quote to get my tie rods replaced on my 02 Subaru Outback. I explained I wanted the inner/outer tie rod as well as the boot to be replaced. After explaining all the details to the car the man that answered the phone said that I would need the whole Steering Box replaced just to have a new Boot (Which is absolutely False) as you can buy the boot at a dealership or auto stores depending make/model of car. had my timing belt, water pump and drive belts done on my 99 merc. villager. price was within norm. car was done promptly. mechanic found a radiator hose needed doing and went ahead and did it saving me money. a year later car is running fine so the repair was done correctly. i would return to auto doctor.
