We chose VIC Ash flooring in our brand new home, it has been the absolute worst choice! The top layer of engineered timber is defective and has splintered and peeled up, bubbling in some places. Our builder noticed these defects when he was laying the flooring but told us he could ‘hide’ some of the defective boards under the joinery. Stupidly we thought this would just be isolated to a few boards but unfortunately within only a few months the splintering and splitting began to appear all over the floor.
