Just got a prepaid debit card. Got it activated. They put a temporary pin number. Maybe I tried to many times to follow the directions? To set up a pin. I think it was not a good setup. Like at another bank it was all done at that bank. Activated and pin setup. I went on the website. Left what happened. In January 3,2026 it was a long wait to get the paperwork done. Austin Telco is a complete failure of a bank. Slow, outdated, and painfully incompetent, they turn basic banking into an exhausting ordeal. Customer service is unhelpful at best and dismissive at worst, and it’s obvious they don’t value members’ time. Switching to UHCU exposed just how embarrassing Austin Telco really is—the other banks are efficient, modern, and actually cares about its customers. There is absolutely no reason to stay with Austin Telco when better options exist. Save yourself the frustration and switch.
