Horrible business! They kept $500 of my deposit for having a hold sign in a window. Literally all they did. I was told I would get my 1k cash deposit back (100%) if financing didn’t work out. When it fell through I asked for my refund. I had to call and ask several times and people. It was a month of the run around before they finally had a check for me. I drive an hour to get my money and they keep half. SAD. In no world did they earn that!!! Lesson learned!! Glad I did not buy from them. BEWARE!!!!!!!
If 0 stars was an option that's what Austin Homes would have got. Take your money to ANYONE else. Austin homes added SO many extra fees to our home with the promise to reimburse us in the end. $10,000 for a crane set that NEVER happened. $14,000 for extra block that was WAY over-estimated. These people are crooks!! The person they used to finish our home did such a shoddy job, the manufacturer and mortgage lender got involved to fix the home!! I would not recommend Austin Homes to anyone!!! My grandfather passed away in April 2024 so we were looking to downsize. Austin Homes knew we were on a tight timeline as we had our house on the market and told us that if we bought off the lot they could have the home ready for us to move into in four to six weeks. That’s was the biggest lie ever four to six weeks turned into six months in which we were homeless. Ok. I didn't buy from them personally but family of mine had and I've been attempting to hook utilities back up. Not only is the yard destroyed, but for some reason the conduit pipe has concrete in it to the point the old wire can not be winched out. Who ever done there footers also put concrete in the original septic pipe, plus broke it while digger the footer and regretted to inform anyone...
