Steve did our service and replaced a spare part, because he seemed nice and trustworthy I didn’t even ask how much a service would be, trusting that he’d be fair ($200 from 2 previous gasfitters), but the final bill was close to $1000 (half of this for a service which was really just a dust out and glass clean). I was so heartbroken and felt so scammed to say the least. As a stay at home Mum, my kids will now suffer until next months pay.
