The medical staff were incredibly helpful, compassionate, and professional, and the quality of care itself was above standard. However, I am beyond livid with the hospital’s communication and coordination when it came to providing updates about my fiancé’s care. I helped my fiancé seek mental health treatment, and we were very clear that, if I contacted the hospital for updates, the care team would be able to provide me with accurate information because my fiancé had authorized the release of information. Aurora is a total disgrace for sheboygan county. 1st, they request a new facility, cuz the old one wasnt good enough. It only gained 17 beds to service us. Then, 2nd,,,,"It'll offer new services and advance medical care for the county, especially being more centralized towards the freeway". Total waste. Could have just kept what we had. Aurora is too big, and just out there spending money, and playing with our citizens health. And now its already too small, and theyre taking services away. My husband had sepsis 3 times in a matter of a month. First time he was released in 3 days. He was back in about a week later .In for over a week. Pulled out his drain in his intestines. Back in the hospital with third bout of sepsis for the same thing. Care while in there very poor. Given liquid pain meds too fast and needed oxygen because oxygen levels went down. Do better.
