This hospital definitely cares for its patients! I was fortunate enough to have an amazing nurse Kristian H, listened to what I was saying, patient, kind, personable made me feel as if he was truly concerned for my care. Max took my X-rays and again very kind and gentle. The Doc’s were AWESOME. I was given referrals to see a specialist, truly an amazing ER experience. Thank you!
Don’t even try to go here if you’re not local they won’t see you. They turned me away last time I tried to be seen.
I cannot speak highly enough regarding the ER staff at Lakeland. I was admitted on August 1 with stroke symptoms. The entire right side of my body was dead and I could not speak. The staff were extremely kind and efficient as they moved to perform a CAT scan to confirm I had a blood clot in my brain. The staff immediately notified the Neurological Unit at St Luke's in Milwaukee and I was airlifted there for surgery within 30 minutes. My wife an (NP) had a chemical burn to her eye. After flushing it out for 10 minutes she went to the nearest ER. She was visiting the area and googled the nearest ER. When she got there she was roomed with appropriate speed for an eye injury, however this is where the care ended. Now imagine my wife an ICU nurse of 20 years and a recent NP (so a woman not prone to hysterics) sitting there in a very real amount of pain eyes watering, nose dripping, searching there stock for her own Kleenex.
