I visited the ALMC Emergency Department at Aurora Health Care after being injured by another snowboarder. While the physician and supervising staff were professional and helpful, my experience with one nurse during discharge was deeply disappointing. First time I was in New emergency department and its a definite improvement over April 2024. Today, all staff was professional, courteous, patient, respectful. I have a complex rare disease and this was the first time in at least a decade I was treated with dignity by Aurora Lakeland Emergency Dept staff. Lake Geneva Fire Dept Rescue Squad, and Superior Ambulance services were very kind as well and well coordinated. I am baffled by these negative reviews. We were brought here by the EMTs when my daughter was having seizures. The doctors, nurses and staff were all very caring and professional. We wound up being transferred to CHOW, but I did feel like we got excellent care from doctors Avila and Robb and nurse Leann while we were at Lakeland.
I recently visited the ER and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Dr. Peach and the entire team were absolutely amazing — kind, efficient, and incredibly attentive. They made me feel calm and cared for even when I was feeling my worst. From the moment I arrived to the moment I was discharged, every nurse, tech, and staff member treated me with respect and compassion. This is not a facility review. This is a doctor review. Dr. Hagnell delivered my baby 12 years ago via c-section. Yes, I have a beautiful daughter as a result. But she butchered me. I'm still suffering to this day from the job she did on me. Chronic back pain due to abdominal muscles she did not put back together. A longer left side incision has me left with constant hip and abdominal pain. Not to mention my abdomen looks like a botched surgery.
