They dismissed an undefined cardiac event as a panic attack or inhaling fumes at work (because I’m a diesel mechanic and have been for 5 years). Referred me to cardiology then retracted that referral and said follow up with primary care, cardiology is not necessary. Best hospital experience of our lives! I’m actually shocked the reviews aren’t great because that just was not our personal experience. My husband and I were passing through the area and my husband had an emergency. We stopped randomly at this hospital and they were the kindest, most caring staff I’ve ever met. Dr. Wiener doesn’t have the best bedside manner but he was incredibly skilled and I was SO thankful for him and his expertise in my husband’s emergency surgery in the middle of the night. My visit to the Aurora emergency room was incredibly smooth and reassuring from start to finish. The nurses were kind, patient, and genuinely understanding, making me feel comfortable and respected throughout the process. It was a relatively short visit, and I really appreciated how carefully they listened to everything I had to say.
