We stayed at this hotel in West Launceston, Tasmania last week and, unfortunately, had a very unpleasant experience from the moment we arrived. The staff, especially the lady on the Reception was quite rude and unwelcoming, which set a negative tone for the rest of our stay. Upon entering the room, we noticed a musty, damp smell in the air, and the atmosphere felt stuffy and unclean. A beautiful little place from the outside and cosy, clean rooms from the inside. The team have been very accommodating. I want to shout out the hotel manager, James, who went above and beyond to make our first trip to Tasmania and Launceston easy by being a friendly face who genuinely cares and giving great recommendations! Will stay here again

Great location, price and service. Their receptionist & room introducer staff James was absolutely amazing. Not only that his service was professional and kind, he also considered to suggest places and restaurants to visitors. Highly recommend this hotel, 10/10 to James. I also really liked how they kept the hotel in an ancient style, matching with Tassie style.
