A lovely historical hotel, very clean room and comfortable bed. Beautiful views from the balcony, nice quiet area. Staff were very accommodating and James was very understanding and generous when I had realised I had booked the wrong dates and I was rebooked without extra cost. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Launceston.

For the price the rooms are well appointed. They have all you need. Comfortable bed and clean. Sadly because it’s on a hill, we could hear the hoons driving up and down the streets in their noisy cars at night. Not the hotels fault tho! The lift was great, hurt my knee so it was needed. I’ve stayed in many places for work in the last 17 years, small things like drinkable coffee and a shower you don’t have to run around in to get wet mean a lot! Even the ice was fresh. Checked in today , great balcony view, no available..spacious room, clean environment, check in is at 2 pm and checkout at 10 am which is bit early.. highly recommended .. James is great person we met at the reception . Helps and guides so well .

If you enjoy arriving at a hotel only to find the doors locked, no staff in sight, and your “welcome” message sent 30 minutes before closing time, then this is the perfect place for you! Late check-in? Don’t even think about it. Unless, of course, you’re willing to pay a special “call-out fee”, because nothing says hospitality like charging extra instead of simply helping a stranded guest.
