I follow the reviews and just want to share a few things about Manufactured home living. Augusta Woods is a very nice community. I have been here for 19 years and have had some issues over the years, but overall I will say this is the best in the Manufactured living life. I also work in a few other "Manufactured or Mobile home communities and you will be very surprised at their lot rent and the "annual yearly" increases. At least $50.00 each time. I went through the process with Janet to purchase a home and it was very pleasant. Although we ended not moving forward with the purchase, she was wonderful to work with, fair, and helpful. She was transparent with us on all the fees that would have to be paid and offered answers to questions that we didn't think to ask. We did not move forward with the purchase because it wasn't in our budget.
So far so good. I have been here for a month now and my own experience has been great. Janet on the sales team was very friendly (still is) and Diane and Beth in the office are very helpful and friendly as well. I am loving my experience so far and I love the fact that this community is very different form others around our area. The neighbors seem to be nice, they wave as I drive and I am looking forward to getting to know them. You will love it here.
Augusta Woods is one the better managed communities, not only is the community beautiful and kept well. I was purchasing a brand new absolutely gorgeous home, and one of my family members became life- threatening ill during the home buying process. This parks management does NOT abide by the leases they themselves force people to sign. I had a whole year left on my 5 year lease only to be forced to sign a 1 year lease making my rent automatically go up $15, $25, then $35 a month after 1 year. They will raise your rent at will and discriminate against disabilities when they feel you don't deserve respect. Rules are only to be held by certain people.
